Project Description

  • Located in western West Palm Beach the Ironhorse Community and Country Club is adjacent to the Grassy Water nature preserve that is the primary source of drinking water for the City of WPB. This project was important for providing stormwater drainage for Ironhorse as well as preserving water quality for the rest of the City.

Project Scope

  • Installation of two storm water pump stations. Major equipment at each pump station included two 7,200 GPM axial flow pumps, a 150 kW diesel generator, and instrumentation and radio telemetry equipment for control and monitoring by the City. A total of 280 ft of DIP and PVC pipe as well as 440 ft of 54” corrugated metal pipe were installed. Extensive site restoration and improvement with the addition of 320 trees and shrubs, and restoration of 2,800 SY of golf course Tifway sod.
