Project Description
- The basic operation of the facility will be to treat water from the Hillsboro canal by screening, filtration, and UV disinfection, then pump it underground via the existing ASR well. The operation will be reversible, with water being pumped from the well and aerated prior to discharge back into the canal. The project has been designed to pump 5 MGD, after filtration, in either direction.
Project Scope
- The Hillsboro ASR (Aquifer Storage and Recovery) project consists of providing all labor, equipment, and materials to construct an intake and discharge structure, filtration equipment, disinfection equipment, electrical, site work, fencing, piping, valves, fittings, personnel and control buildings, and all appurtenances along the northern bank of the Hillsboro Canal in the immediate vicinity of an existing ASR (Aquifer Storage and Recovery) well.
